Activation and 30 days free trial
On the Visokio website, new users have multiple options to test the Omniscope application:
- Option 1. allows them to test Omniscope on Visokio's sandbox on any mobile device. This option doesn't require a download, as the app is running on our cloud. The option is suitable for testing purposes only and is not an alternative for commercial use.
- They can download the app and run it on their own machine (Option 2. in the image) or deploy it in their cloud (Option 3.)
Omniscope needs to be fully activated to allow you to play with any project or serve any file.
The first time you start Omniscope on your machine, your default system web browser will open up, and you will be prompted to choose either to activate the app with your purchased license key, or start a 30-day free trial to evaluate it.
To activate, enter your 16-digit key in the “License key” field and then click “Activate”.
You will need to launch the application after successful activation.
Manual activation
If you're having trouble with online activation, you can try "manual activation" instead (e.g. if your company's firewall is preventing you from connecting to our activation server).
In Omniscope Evo, a link to manual activation will appear if your online activation fails - simply follow the in-app instructions. For Omniscope Classic, reattempt activation. If it fails, you’ll automatically be prompted to use manual activation.
Deactivation and Refresh
To transfer a licence key to another machine, or before updating your OS, remember to deactivate your Omniscope licence to release it.
A refresh is required if your licence settings are updated (for example, if you extend or renew a subscription or upgrade to a new plan).
To deactivate or refresh your licence, go to the Admin App (accessed via the "Admin" link on the welcome/Files page) and select "Licensing." From there, you can choose either to refresh or deactivate your licence.
Omniscope running as a Windows Service
If Omniscope is running as a Windows service, you’ll need to stop the service first.
Then, start Omniscope as a regular application by launching it from the Start menu. Once open, follow the required update or configuration steps.
After completing the changes, close the application by right-clicking its icon in the taskbar (bottom right) and selecting the close option.
Finally, go back to the Windows Services Manager and start Omniscope as a Windows service once more.
