Omniscope 2021.2 introduces a couple of features to the Content View which are useful when producing reports that act as formal documents or would benefit from the inclusion of an interactive index page.
The Table of Contents is an automatically-generated element you can add, allowing you to style it and combine it with other text. Add a Content view to your first tab in the report and use the Table of contents button to add the index element.
Note - the command will list only the tabs that follow the current tab.
Another example:
It lists all successive tabs in the report, and in this example, Tab 4 is a multi-page tab (with 2 pages on it).
It shows the page number, should you print or produce PDFs of the report.
Important: the page names/ numbers are linked to the report tabs, should you be consuming the report interactively, so will allow the viewer to quickly navigate to a specific tab.
You can now add automatically numbered sections:
Simply by choosing a numbered heading style, the correct hierarchical sequence number will be inserted and kept updated automatically, such that numbers flow and increment correctly across Content Views, pages and tabs within the same report, as seen by this example of an identical duplicate Content View added to the same tab:
