If Omniscope starts up with an error about the data engine, and you have non-ASCII characters (such as accents or Chinese characters) in your username, this is likely the cause.
You have two alternative solutions to try. Solution 1 is the easiest.
Solution 1: install Omniscope system-wide
Stop Omniscope and uninstall. Now reinstall, choosing system-wide location which will install into "C:\Program files (x86)". Restart Omniscope. You should not need to do anything regarding licensing.
Solution 2: move dbfarm location.
To resolve, navigate to Admin > Disk Manager and under "Omniscope disk allocations", enter a custom location in the "MonetDb data engine" "Location" field. The custom location can be on the same or different disk, and must be permissioned to allow read/write access to your user account. You will also need to enter a suitable value into the "Fixed capacity" field, such as 50000000000 for approximately 50gb of capacity; you should use the existing capacity as a guidance, from the section above.
After changing, restart Omniscope. If you continue to experience data engine errors, send the App diagnostics to support@visokio.com as suggested in the error.
